Aesop, Marina Bay Sands Singapore (2019)

We are honoured to partner with Aesop for a second project for their retail store in Singapore, at the Marina Bay Sands. At 890 square feet, this is currently their largest store in South East Asia. Inspired by the land reclamation of the Marina Bay area, this store features a perfect harmony of warm natural clay renders with cool stainless steel. As part of Aesop’s ethos, a minimal number of materials were used to create subtle but dramatic effects. The main materials used at Marina Bay Sands are hand-applied earthen render across all surfaces from the ceiling, from the walls to the floor, and stainless steel for shelves, check-out counter, and sink, where their profiles are inspired by the caisson structures used during land reclamation.
