Flamingo Office, Shanghai (2012)

The design inspiration for Flamingo’s office stemmed from a 1960s factory, reminiscent of an electrical warehouse, which was the previous tenant of the current office building.

Conceptually developed as an incubator house for churning out new ideas, concrete strip tiled walls and mild steel fixtures add to an industrial feel, while leather sofas and textured wooden furniture create a cozy working environment.

Impulsive brainstorming could take place on chalkboard painted surfaces, and mild steel walls could be used as a magnetic board for putting up charts and sketches.
