Art Stage – The Celebration, Singapore (2016)

Southeast Asia’s leading art fair, Art Stage Singapore, appointed Asylum as the designer of its 2016 VIP Lounge, where the 3,365 square feet invite-only lounge serves as an important anchor to the art fair.

As a venue that lauds art, the design direction plays up the concept of celebration. Housed within an understated white façade, the celebration is revealed as guests step into the space and get greeted by a pristine view of over 2,000 champagne coloured balloons filling the lounge ceiling, contrasting the white interior with their elegantly curled streamers, making graceful swirls above one’s head. The choice of champagne coloured balloons was made to symbolise a grand, joyous celebration of the coming together of Art and People.
