Lolla, Singapore (2012)
—
Creating a quirky and charming character for Lolla, the raw and industrial interior is injected with a whimsical personality, with vintage decanters and old advertisements of female products, playfully tweaked to feature the restaurant’s name.
In the basement, a vintage filament bulb installation hovers above the long communal table, while casting a glow on the illustrated mural wall. Serving Mediterranean small-plate dishes, the key idea of the dishes being ‘Best Shared with Friends’, is interpreted through the neon dots that visually resemble the joy of sharing, consistently applied on Lolla’s brand collateral of old-fashioned illustrations.
