Notebook Vol. 2: Inkling, Singapore (2017)

An exhibition presented by renowned Singaporean printing company established since 1979, Dominie Press and AlsOdoMinie, Notebook Vol.2: Inkling, highlights the collaborative relationship between Design and Print in the medium of the Notebook. Asylum was one of the ten Creative Agencies invited to explore this theme. We reflected on the fundamentals of a traditional notebook. How it is great for scribbling ideas and thoughts but lacks a logical indexing system available to digital files. Hence, the inspiration for the Asylum notebook comes from how reference books of brilliant minds are often bookmarked and tagged with post-it notes in a haphazard manner. This notebook with multiple ready-made tags dividing its pages maps out a system of cataloguing one's ideas.
